F150 forum,
New member here, thanks for any info ya'll may have.
I have a '12 F150 FX4 5.0 Coyote and it needs a new engine.
Two shops, two leak downs. Yup, she's a goner.
prefer a reman or new.
Question is, who's got a damn motor for this rig?
Jasper told me they aren't touching the 1st gens anymore till they get some kinks worked out. My trusted mechanic (and the other one I kinda trust) are both telling me to avoid PP like the plague.
I'm fine spending the $$, I just want a reliable unit.
Any info, recommendations, possible compatable swaps, hell, anything to get the boat tugger back on the road.
Thanks again all,
J
I spent three years through covid without being able to find what I was looking for ended up finding a father son shop in Phoenix called Phoenix engine specialist they "small batch" coyote engines for 4900 as a long block has them essentially build a crate for me with boss intake no covers and pan shipped to my door for 6300 they are a performance based shop shop they build with that in mind don't know if I'm carrying this post to late to help but I would definitely recommend them when you talk to them on the phone you scrotal speak to the mechanic with hands on or his dad father started the business son will take over both very knowledgeable father apparently was lead r&d tech for dodge for 30 years personally I will never deal with another builder shipping was a bit of pain but that was on shipper not builder https://phxenginespecialist.com/
