I bought my 6.2 Lariat last week. I love this drive train! MPGs are less than thrilling but 13/18 MPG isn't bad IMO. It's not as quick as an eco boost, but it also sounds better and more enjoyable to drive. In my own research, I'm not finding any frequent issues with this engine across the interwebs. Anything to keep an eye for as far as preventive maintenance goes? Common issues or problems?

It's not hard to make it quicker than an Ecoboost. Ford incorporates a lot more limiters for whatever reason on the 6.2 than they do on any other engine they offer..... even the Ecoboost doesn't have the low end limitations that the 6.2 does thus it being such a dog off the line with the stock pcm settings. Probably in hopes no one would ever buy it and thus it would be a fail and dropped.... which it was.
No it's pretty well rock solid. The early ones had rocker arm problems and that is about it. If you want any real information regarding the 6.2 don't come to this site.
Try fordraptorforums or even the 6.2 section of Ford Truck enthusiast site. FTE is pretty well all Super Duty guys but the info is the same. Our PCM shares the exact same strategy as the Raptor trucks do so going to one of the Raptor sites gives a lot of info. I have 2 6.2 F150's, one is a 2013 FX4 with as well as a 2013 XLT Supercab 4x4. It's a shame they dropped it but that's how the cookie crumbles.

6.2L is quicker than the ecoboost if your floor them right next to each other, 6.2L has a lot more upper power. EcoBoost gets an early lead because of low end torque but eventually the 6.2L will walk away.
