What's This?

Hey Guys,
Been on the site for awhile now, but never really posted. I rely heavily on the the search function and you guys always come through for me. I have a 1995 F150 also and have been a ford guy all my life.
A little under a week ago, I purchased a 2005 Expedition Eddie Bauer with a little over 100k miles on it. Other than a small oil leak, no issues, runs strong.
I was looking under the hood today and I found a hose/wire/vacuum line that was just hanging loose and not attached to anything. I could only find one spot where I thought it could possibly go, but I was hoping someone could 1)tell me what I'm looking at?...and 2)verify that I'm attaching it to the right place.
Thanks in Advance!
Hopefully these pictures will attach:

After googling images of the 5.4L 3V V8, I think I have determined that the hose/wire does not go where I originally thought.
But I still have no idea where this line goes. It is coming out of the firewall on the passenger side.
Help! The truck seems to be running fine, but I don't want to possibly mess anything up by have this line loose.
