The Voodoo 5.2L that's in the Mustang GT350 would work too!

Most of your top named shops can build a better engine than that for 10-12K

Seems like a lot of money for maybe 100 or so more HP...throw on a Boss 302 manifold, new injectors and a new cam and a set of headers with a nice lo flow dual exhaust, and you wouldn't be far off, and you haven't broken 5 k yet.

Thought long and hard about taking 4” out of the top and then converting the 14 Flex SEL to rear wheel drive, 9” center section IRS in a custom rear carrier, 6R140 trans and one of these 500 HP Coyotes up front. I could not work out the interfaces to all the stock gauges and accessories prior to the start so I dumped that idea and did what I always do when I get one of these crazy project ideas. Go out and buy a new car. In this case a mere 395HP 5.0 RCSB. Fewer potential headaches and a full warranty. The Flex project may rear its ugly head in the future but I may be to old to pull it off then.

Weird Flex, but OK. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

I met a guy once who had a 2JZ powered, rwd converted 2nd gen Scion XB, and it was awesome. A rwd Coyote powered Flex would be even better.
