2017 5.0 6 Spd Whine/Whistle at Low RPM/Speed
Hi everyone
I have a 2017 5.0 with 6spd and hear a high pitch "whining" noise upon acceleration at low rpms and speed-
Can't hear it with windows up
With windows down it sounds like a high pitch whine or whistle
Any ideas what it is and if something should be done?

I know that this is no help at all, but my 2013 SCab, 6 spd, 5.0 does that too. Only occasionally when I'm hitting on on-ramp with the windows down can I hear it. It is so quiet that I thought I was hallucinating, so I tried to forget about it. I'm so relieved that someone else has heard it! It's been doing it for 140,000 miles now so I don't think it's a serious issue, but there is some talk about a possible transmission front pump failure in the offing. I've been out of factory (and ESP coverage) for quite a while now, but if you still have warranty coverage, you might want to get someone to look into it. I'd like to know...
