Default 03 to 06 4.6 engine swap

Hey guys, I want to get my dads truck up and running again. It's a 2003 2wd super cab with a 4.6 engine code (6). it's got over 300k miles and and the engine is shot. I have been looking for a replacement motor from the 02-03 timeframe but I recently came across some one selling a 06 4.6 from an E250. Does anyone know if this would be plug an play in the 03? Would there be issues with the wiring harness or ecu?

*shouldn't* be any issues, as long as they're both 2v engines. somewhere out on the etherwebs there should be ways to identify Windsor and Romeo 4.6 engines. the swap is easiest when both engines came from the same factory. I'm not aware of any major changes to the 2v engines after the PI heads came out in '99.
