Default Starter

Good morning, I have a 02 F150 the starter went out so I put a new solenoid on it started it one time and wouldnt start again. bought a reman starter and it did the same thing burnt it up, I have looked oat the wiring over and over and I am STUMPED. Can someone help me please!!!!

Really no reason for a starter to "burn up", unless the engine won't turn. Pretty common for a starter to get replaced though, when it's really just dirty battery cable connections. Typical sign is one click, then dead. Wait a minute, one more click then dead. The cable connections heat up and open if they're dirty.
