Looking at a 4.2
Hello, been in the market for a used truck. Something basic.
A 2008 F-150 just came up down the road. 70,000 miles in the north east. 2wd, regular cab short bed crank windows. Pretty clean. The body had no rust coming through, but it’s certainly started and will need attention in a couple years.
it fired right up, a little shaky at idle. Seemed to shift through the gears just fine. Tire pressure light was on but all the tire pressures were good. The column shifter was pretty stiff, but maybe the truck has done a lot of sitting.
what’s best to look out for on these? They are asking just under $8,000, blue book is more like $6,500. Id love to go out and buy new. My significant others truck is an 18 3.5 eco with HDPP that she hauls her horses with. I love it. Just don’t love the price of them.
