I know a guy with an identical truck, but his is an auto. He drives roughly the same amount of highway miles I do but averaged 18. He doesnt drive it easy though.

2006 f150 xl 4.2 with 5 speed. 98,000 miles on it.
best gas mileage I ever get is 17mpg on long trips and 14-15 in town.. when hauling a 16ft enclosed tool trailer I only get 10-12 mpg

Update on mpg
I installed a livewire TS tuner and set it in econo mode and am now getting 17mpg in town and 21 mpg highway.
Towing my 16ft tool trailer I get no lower than 15mpg.
