Take it for what you want. I've never heard of it before then or after that.

That was the problem though. Take it or leave it.

if you can give me solid evidence that the clogged cat caused oil to burn in the motor ill believe you. but he said this or she said that i will never believe. i need some proof. because to me that sounds like a made up story. or the mechanic is pulling a fast one on you.

example:

thats like me saying my coolant was burning because i popped a tire. then once i fixed my tire the coolant stoped leaking. which is not true

This was in 1986.... You don't have to believe me.He said he got it fixed.

And i don't "make up" storys. Don't lie either. If i did they would have gotten rid of me along time ago from here.

Have a great day, You don't have to read my suggestions anymore.

if it happend in the 1800s i wouldnt believe it either. the time of the problem does not change the fact that a cat could cause the motor to leak oil.

also if that story wasnt made up what was it? someone had to lie at some point in order for that story to be thought of. because it could not happen in real life. or atleast applying all the knowledge that i know of it could not happen.

also a suggestion and a statement are two different things. i understand everybody has there own opnion but to say something like that is not a opnion or a suggestion. its a statement. this is a onloine fourm where anyone can read or write anything. i would like the info to be as accurate as possibile

sorry to drag this out but you seem to think that that could happen and that fixed your dads problem. i would like to ask why you think that could happen?

I think it was because I put the wrong weight oil in the last time. I put in 5/20 instead of 5/30 and it caused it to burn up faster. Thanks for the help, didn't mean to start a fight, LOL

Regardless of why it was burning oil I would realy like to know where you can find a dealer [any brand] who will diagnose, obtain and install an engine under warenty in 1 week let alone 2 engines. sounds like an erban myth to me.
