Oil does not evaporate so there are three other options 1 somebody is stealing it [Highly unlikly] 2 its leaking out on the ground or allover the bottem of the truck or 3 its going out the tail pipe so the first thing is find out which of the three and then go from there

i cant tell that its leaking anywhere there are no signs the bottom of my truck is not cover in oil and i let it run of a good 40 mins and the only thing that came out the tail pipe was water and lots of it and there is no spots on the ground where is has leaked

If its not leaking then it has to be going out the tail pipe in the form of smoke in other words you are either leaking or burning oil and befor you can fix it you have to find out where its going. you might try an oil change with a different brand of oil. if its burning oil the cats will clean it up for a while but they will plug up soon with that much oil gping through

Start simple PCV system valve and hose pluged or not conected. from there you get into internal wear or damage { rings valve stem guides and seals} While its possible to run 0ne of these engines for several hundred thousnd miles with proper maintenance its also possible to wear one out in much less time or distance if abused or neglected. You might pull and inspect the spark plugs for proper burn and run a compresion test to determine if you have worn or brocken rings also check oil pressure [ not that dummy gauge on the dash] with a real gauge screwd into the engine.

My dad had a 86 F150 and the catalytic converters were bad causing it to use massive amounts of oil. For put a new engine under warranty... 2 times in 1 week, before they found out what was wrong.
