4.2 sparkplug repacement?
I haven't done mine yet, but I used to own a 99 5.4 and should be a walk in the park compared to that baby. Would think you'd just need a standard spark plug socket... Good luck and let me know if you run into anything. I'm waiting to do mine when it gets warm(er). LOL
i did my plugs 2 days ago on my 05 4.6 and it wasnt too hard, just buy this little tool: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...%7CGRP2062____
That tool makes everything go really easy. I needed another 3/8 extension along with it so i could reach the back plugs. Just remember to get some anti-seize and dielectric grease so your new plugs stay in good shape.

cool - thanks! I used to have a 2000 v8 Tundra and My God it was the easiest thing in the world to change spark plugs. I just see these on this v6 150 and all seem kind of bunched up...but at the same time they still look do-able.
Thanks for the input!

just did mine last weekend. SUPER EASY. took me around and hr and a half to do it. only problem i had was on the passenger side, there is a hose right behind the plugs that gets in the way very easily.
btw, you wont need the info in the post that transmaster was referring to. We have 1 piece plugs

4.2 is a piece of cake. As I mentioned in another post here, you can have then all out and replaced in an hour. No special tools other than a 2 inch extention. The passenger side rear is the tightest, but even that one is easy enough.
