I have a 2000 ford F 150 171K in the 4.2, 5 spd manual and I have never had any starting problems until now. I try to start it and all i get is 1 click sounds like the starter clicking. I replaced the starter and the battery and battery cables and still have the same problem. I try and jump the starter solenoid on the firewall and still just one click. I can push start the truck and it runs fine no squealing or rough idle. could this be a bad neutral safety switch? I am out of ideas and don't wanna continue throwing money at it. Thanks in advance for any help.

 

I'd say clutch position sensor.
