I'm rebuilding after installing new head gaskets and my manual says there is two stages of torque but only has 26ftlbs listed as stage one. Do I just go back over again at 26?



I'm assuming the hydraulic lifters are self adjusting upon first start up which prevents a bent rod but I already lined up the engine tdc cylinder 1 so it should be fine.

223k miles, blown head gasket, took weeks to clean. Any tips would be appreciated learning new things every day from the experience.
