So I just recently made a post but it wasn't very specific. I rebuilt a 2001 4.2l and the cam keeps getting stuck when I'm starting it PLUS the timing chain and gear is flying apart both times I started it. I've made sure that it was properly lubricated, made sure the rods were on there correctly, and the bearings are on there properly, but the cam moves back and forth a bit and I don't know if it's supposed to do that. I read somewhere that you didn't need the balance shaft in but I'm almost thinking otherwise because there is a gear on the front of it, but I just need to make sure this is correct.
