I'd recommend spending the $$ on the Rousch kit, partly because Ford sells those kits, so they can hardly blame them if anything goes wrong. But I hear ya on the price.

I ordered the Airaid CAI for my 3.7, it may not be a full CAI system like the K&N but I have used them in the past with success and will try it again. I'll update once it's installed.

Isthatahemi, very true - definitely looking for a "cheaper" intake but I do really like the look of the Rousch. Maybe I'll keep saving and shoot for that one or see if some sort of sale pops up on the forums.

Majikmike69, sounds awesome; let me know how it comes out. What was the final cost for the Airaid and did you go dry or oiled filter?

It was about $284 at autozone and this time I went with the dry filter. You can probably find it a little cheaper if you shop around. The Roush and Airaid kits are practically the same all around and neither will void your warranty. So it's all personal preferance.

Well got it installed and for just being the filter and top half of air box I'm impressed. Throttle response and exhaust note change are evident off the bat. The responds much better and quicker, my exhaust sounds better thank god...lol. So if I get any mpg improvements I'll let ya'll know. With every CAI from full kit to this kind I have averaged atleast 1-2 mpg so I'm expecting that. I'm happy with it and recommend it!

It's eery how well the 3.7 responds to an intake. Throttle response and bottom end improvements are noticeable. I've generally experience the opposite effect on most other vehicles.

Just installed the Airaid kit with Dry Filter (found it for $250 including shipping on Amazon) and all I have to say is WOW! You guys were not kidding...Throttle response is definitely much better and there is a nice growl when accelerating. I bought the truck as a certified preown and the previous owner had put a nice dual exhaust system on..Airaid definitely amplified exhaust!
