Default Wastegate Usage

Stumbled across this video. He talks about if the wastegate has not been exercised much, it could lead to a sticking problem (toward the end of the video). I don't get into high boost much or at all. Mostly around town driving or towing at around 2500 rpm.

What do you engine experts think about this video? Is it a concern or not?

Not much of an issue really on our ecoboosts. Since the turbos are smaller they have to work harder. Tuned and at my elevation my WGDC is always maxed out lol
