Blown motor
Well I have had my truck back for about 3 weeks. so far no problems with the truck anyway. Still disturbed I had to pay for the new motor and install. I just wished that I could find the real reason it blew apart....Doubt I ever will. Ford never responded from my calls. The phone tech just sent me back to dealer which is versed on a blank stare when ask well its your call. With a truck sitting with parts lying around and no engine.....I did not want to move it and take a chance on loosing parts. Edge says it is a Ford problem, Ford says it is tuned. For all of you tuning guys. Good luck!

This is why mine won't be tuned while I still have the extended warranty! As many problems as I've had with mine I don't want to give them any reason not to honor my extended warranty.

That's exactly why I'm going with 5-star when I eventually get a tune. 50,000 mile warranty. They will pay for any damage ford claims is caused by the tune.

In reality, Ford should not cover damage if a vehicle is tuned. There is no certification in the industry that a tuner must past to know damn well he knows what he is doing. I know there are a lot of good tuners out there, but it's still a crap shoot. Should Ford cover some guy that is using your truck as a science experiment with only anecdotal feedback to know where something works or not?
Maybe I'm too risk adverse, but I'm not dumb either. I will let Ford engineers that do know what there doing set the tune.

I agree with Ford, you know there is always that chance you'll get stuck with the bill when running a tune. Even if removed it leaves a footprint that it was there.
