On my Explorer, I love the zippiness and gas mileage. On the F-150, love the power. So far not too thrilled on the F-150 gas mileage but didn't buy it for exceptional gas mileage!

^Am I the only one that thinks this trucks fuel milage is awesome! I mean 10 days ago I filled her up. Tomorrow I will fill it up again, at $1.87 I might add! Christ,..... with the Titan it was every 3 days-sucked. With a tune... add on 1.5-2mpg improvement across the board! :thrilled:

Although I have the 5.0..all I can say is from what I've read here over the months..known many that have traded to 5.0 or 6.2.
I would not recommend unless you plan to have it less than a 3 yr ownership. .or buy an extended warranty
I read also that ford is going v8 less around or after 2017..I will not buy from them again..this is just my 02 cents worth..but I've read enough here as well as the Explorer forums and escape forums. .alot of eco issues

Coming from an 08 with a 5.4, I can honestly say I don't miss having a v8. The exhaust did sound good, but I have a 05 Mustang GT with long tubes, no cats and cammed if I want to hear a v8 growl.

I had a 2011 xlt eco screw. Took it on an almost 6000 mile trip to Yellowstone/montana from Detroit MI
averaged 21.1 mpg round trip. Never had a problem in the mountains or on hills up down, dirt roads 2 tracks, some sissy off roading nothing extreme and it was awesome. If I mashed the pedal for some kitty up I got it-everytime.

Traded that in for a 2014 fx4 eco screw, put a bed rug and cap on it. I don't get the mpg of the '11 yet but most of my driving in the new one has been city with very little highway time.

Power is great, drives and handles better than the '11 and is more comfortable and quieter in the cab. I did have some heavy thought on getting the 5.0 just to save a thousand bucks but when the dealer showed me the Sterling Grey Metallic
Fx4 boost. I figured hey, I have had the motor before and never let me down so why change?

I can't wait to see the 2020-2025 era F150 for another trade in.

^Exactly....I plan on having my 14 Boost for at least 10 yrs., same as my last ride.
An 04 Titan. Except the F150 is a real truck! By 2024 these babies should be getting ridiculous fuel mileage and more power.

Anybody with high mileage on the eco boost.
I just turned 100000 KM or 62000 miles and no problems other than spark plug change.
Thinking of trading for new 2015 Lariat.
Any thoughts?

My uncle has one with 110,000+ miles, no problems, and that's with his hired help driving it and towing 7-8000 lbs almost all the time.

Mine has 58k and I don't plan to trade until the new generation is on the road for at least a couple years.

I've got 130000 kms and no issues other than plugs being done at my request at 110000.
