No regrets at all
I have had my 2012 EcoBoost since new. Have 90,700 kms. Not one issue or problem! Way less hesitation than the 2011 5.7l Hemi Ram and a hell of a lot more power off the line. Made numerous trip to Vancouver, BC from Alberta by way of the Coqueholla Hwy, coming back up from Hope, BC lock the cruise at 110 and it only shifted down once to 5th coming up the big grade.
I like the EcoBoost so much I have a 2015 F-150 on order.

I had a little regret for about 3 months after purchasing, because I heard a buddy's V8. That was 2 years ago, and the feeling went away magically, and I haven't looked back since. The steady power delivery of the Eco is unmatched by anything else. It's so easy to move along with traffic. I can stay on anyone's tail in the craziest stop and go situations without looking like a jerk.
If I was buying again, I would choose Eco.

Zero Regrets
I have had a few issues with my '11 EcoScrew, but the Ecoboost is not one of them. I sometimes get jealous when a big V8 drives by, but then I wonder if I would really want the extra drone all the time. This truck has more power than I could ever throw at it, it's comfortable, looks good and gets decent fuel economy. What more can you ask for?!
Would I do it again? There's a 50% chance my next vehicle will be a Ford F150 3.5TT, and a 48% chance it will be a Ford F150 2.7TT. What about the other 2%? 2017 Raptor.

My 2011 SCREW has 115000KMs on it so for. Not once to the dealership for any EcoBoost related items. Have changed the plugs at my request at 90,000. Will be buying another Ford WITH an EcoBoost, end of next year, early 17. Not interested in any V-8 unless they have a torque curve and towing performance like these things, and it would still take a lot of convincing. I tow a lot 5-8000 pounds and these things just flat out perform towing. Great daily driver also.

Sun, Fun & Guns
Bought my 13 Platinum w the EcoBoost in it and in just over a year I put 51k stop and go miles on it and it's running like a top. On another note my father just bought a 15 Lariate w the 5.0 in it and it's a PIG! It's actually depressing to drive after being in my truck w the EcoBoost.

[QUOTE=BrewCityF150;3841576]I've got 18K miles on my 2012 that I bought new and love it. Mine is a Scab. I haven't had an issue to date. Love the power. A lot of people complain about not getting the advertised mpg's but I get 21-22 on the highway consistently. I'd buy another as well.
Exactly how I feel about my 2011 FX4. I usually get the same mileage, depending a little on the wind. I have noticed that the mileage begins to drop off above 70 mph (3.73's) so I usually just drive it there on the highway. Around the suburb where I live, I usually get 15-16 as long as I keep my foot out of it and the stop lights are good to me. I think a lot of the folks who complain about the mileage would admit to driving pretty fast on the highway and punching it a little hard away from the lights. It is pretty quick for a pretty heavy truck...mine weighs 6100 with the topper and tools. I too, have had zero problems in four years.

I coulda had a V8
I traded in a 2009 4.6L F150 for a 2013 Fx4 with the Ecoboost engine. The difference in power was very noticeable during the test drive and once I found the truck color and options I wanted I pulled the trigger. I also test drove the 5.0 L V-8 and at the time thought that I could have gone with either engine and at that point was more interested in finding the right rear axle gear ratio. Although I haven't experienced any issues with the Ecoboost engine I think if I had a choice I would go with the V-8. My experience is that the only time the EcoBoost engine gets good mileage is during highway driving. Around town it is no better than a V-8. Plus I miss the tone from the exhaust out of a V-8 engine. I have a Solo exhaust installed and it has taken some time to get used to the sound. Rolling the windows up helps a little.
