2015 Supercrew 3.5 Ecoboost - Clunk when hitting the gas
I am at a loss with what to do here, maybe one of you can give me some advice. I have been to two different dealerships and haven't been able to reproduce.
This doesn't happen all the time but when I step on the gas I get a clunk sound that seems like it's coming from underneath me. Sometimes it's loud, other times it's a faint click, and sometimes it's smooth as a whistle. When it wants to happen just feathering the gas peddle will give a loud clunk every time the accelerator is engaged. Sometimes if I get on it, I will get a second of engine rev before the clunk then the truck starts moving. I am thinking it's my transmission but like I said I haven't been able to reproduce it at the dealership.
My my biggest concern right now is that I have less than 4K left on my extended warranty and I drive 170 miles round trip everyday to work.
Does anyone one have any advice on exactly what it could be and possible ideas on how to reproduce it more reliably?
