79 F-150 4x4 front end alignment & specs
Hello,
In restoring this old truck, I'm changing out many of the steering parts. Power steering pump, gear box, high/low pressure lines, rag joint, drag link and tie rods. I have the factory manuals and they state that the only adjustment that can be made is toe. Caster and camber are factory set and not adjustable.
However, having searched these factory manuals...for days...I cannot seem to find information on making the toe adjustment to the alignment nor the specs. I see that 1/8" toe in (is this 1/16" each side?) mentioned in many places for other vehicles. I don't know if it is standard for all. Is it hidden someplace where I cannot find it? Is it so straightforward that I'm an idiot for even having to ask?
Thank you,
Joe
