Wont start when hot outside and shifts hard
My girlfriends grandpa has this nice Red 1994 F150 XLT automatic that he is thinking of selling and she is trying to him into letting her buy it but he says that when its hot outside the truck wont start when you turn the key and he says it also shifts hard from first to second are these small fixes or is it not worth it to get the truck, its a nice truck he never uses it and i don't think it has a lot miles on it

Since you know who had the truck go 4 it. Check for codes first. Also try chking fuel pump by turning ignition off and on a few times b4 starting. If all above chk OK check for a clogged converter.
