One thing I just noticed. If I turn the key and hear the fuel pump run,, and run,, and run,,, and run,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it won't start. A couple times I turned the key on, the pump ran about 4 seconds, then a click, then the pump was silent. It fired right up each time this has happened.

Ideas anyone??

Three possibilities come to my mind, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, ignition switch.

If this started right after you replaced the ECU and it's not an ignition problem, then I'd say either the ECU is the problem OR the reconnection of it.

Take the ECU back and swap it for another and make sure all your connections are tight and weather proof. Other than that, I'm out of idea's on this one.

I have a replacement on the way. I suspected the computer from the start, but no way to check it. It starts once the rain has passed for a couple days. That is the part that baffles me. I figured if the computer was getting wet, it would fry.

Will find out when the new one comes in on Tuesday. Will update then.

THANKS

well..

It isn't gonna be fun but my advice is to stock up on dielectric grease and go through EVERY connector you can find and clean each one with scotchbrite and reseal with grease. EVERY connection you possibly can. I did that on 2 of my mustangs and 1 of my f150's...same issue as you and it worked. It sucks...buy a 12 pack and start early! hopefully by the time you're good and buzzed you will have fixed the right connector...lol

Rained hard for the past 12 hours or so. Truck fired right up. First time that has happened in the past couple months. Hopefully the computer fixed it. Will check back in in a few days.

Thanks everyone!
