Good Morning.
I'm having troubles with the windshield wiper. When I wiggle the multi function switch on the steering wheel column, only occasionally the wiper motor works but most of the time it doesn't. The governor module behind the glove compartment can be heard making sounds when I change the speed position but the wiper motor doesn't work. There's an 8.25 amp circuit breaker in the fuse panel that I remove and then plug back in to get it working again (sometimes not). Is the problem the circuit breaker or the governor module or maybe (I don't think so) another component? is there a way to check each device with a multimeter? note: wiper motor is new brand and works properly if I connect it directly.
I was having issues with my windshield wipers a few weeks ago and created a post (see link below). Steve83 posted extremely helpful wire diagrams and a flow chart to troubleshoot wiper issues.
Thanks docdoom1986, I guess I didn't use the correct keywords looking for similar threads. So it's time to check wires. I will do it and then I'll comment the results.
"usually" it is the multi-function switch, especially when intermittent. It Can be the circuit breaker, and a good meter will help you along with checking voltages at the wiper motor.
Year of truck and for sure go through the post cited above...
