Question wiper problems?

ok ive read through the fourms and tryed to figure out what the deal was with my wipers not working, and i had the clicking behind my glove box so i decided my wiper motor was shot, mine was really rusted and falling apart. so i went to napa brought the core and aot a new one. after installing it they still dont work. i can only think of one more thing and thats the contol modual behind the glove box. i really dont wanna replace more stuff that is good hoping that it will fix it. any ideas??

Have you checked the circuit for voltage and amperage? That's the best way to diagnose electrical problems. Start at the motor and work back to the power supply. Also check the mechanical linkage. Make sure the bushings are good and the assembly turns freely.

yea i tryed to check it but that confused me even more? ok so i put my tester to my wiper motor it self and only 1 of the wires has power which seemed alright untill i went to my buddys truck, its same truck just with a 5.8L instead of the 302, and he didnt have power there so im a little lost there. i alos thought it might be the control module thing so i swapped mine and his and his still works, soo thats out of the question. so im down to my wiper switch with all the diffrent speeds that i heard goes bad really easy? idk if i turn it on hi and push my washer fluid thing it clicks but thats the only time it does something?? and for some reason my door buzzer will turn on and off if i bump that *** funny?? soo what im asking is would it be agood idea to replace the entire turn signal *** fo a new one? thinking it dosent work and is shorting out?

What year is your truck? Sounds similar to when my stopped working, it was the turn signal lever assembly. Easy to replace. All the contacts on the inside of mine were so badly corroded I couldn't even dream of cleaning them

We still need to know the year of your truck. Is the switch on the dash or on the column.
