Default Why won't my '93 F150 turn over? (with video)

Hello helpful Ford forum,

I measured my battery with a multimeter and it read 12.54 volts. Plenty of juice to turn over the engine. Plus the battery is only a few months old, so I don't think it's the battery. When I turn the ignition to "on" I can hear the fuel pump making fuel pressure. When I turn the key to "start" all I get is the gauges cut out, and I hear a clunking sound from the engine compartment somewhere. Any ideas? Thanks!

Here's the link to the video I made of the problem:

Check your power wire goin to your starter and the ground wire and if all are tight check the starter.

Sounds like the starter may be loose. Time to crawl underneath.

If you got power at the starter, try tapping on it with hammer or big wrench. Sometimes when they start getting old tapping breaks them loose. Doesnt fix it, but may be able to start truck.

Also just because it reads out the right voltage does not mean it will have enough to power to crank the engine
