Why is my date of manufacture wrong on door sticker?
I have a 1989 F150 2wd Lariat w/ 4.9, my door sticker clearly shows date 09/01 but it is def a 1989, and the vin corresponds to a 1989. Does anyone know if there were typos around that time or am I missing something. EITS does not go back far enough to tell me month of manufacture. Thanks

Is there any chance the door was simply replaced? Is there a place on this sticker that has the same VIN?

If you need to know the month of manufacture, and the VIN tag has a typo, you should be able to find a tag attached to the front of the radiator core support with the manufacturing date stamped on to it. But you might need to remove the headlights and grill to find it.
