Default Wheels. I know i know, but nobody helps us old trucks out

I'm looking at cragar 17x9 soft 8's. 0 offset, 5 back spacing. What am I looking at?? I'm mounting 33x12.50 mud graps on it most likely. Is it sticking out, sticking in?? I want it right past the fenders.

So guys, post up pics of rims, include specs please!

5" backspacing would leave 4" sticking out on 9" wide rims. Yours are probably 7" with 4" of backspacing. You're getting an inch of width on each side.

The backspacing and offset don't match. I hate when websites can't get that info right.

A 0mm offset wheel would have 4.5" backspacing.

So you'll either have 4" or 4.5" coming off the hub face.

Okay. So I imagine my tires with a 1" spacer, and that's how it'll look?? That's almost perfect!!

And Sean, I've seen diagrams, pictures, and videos trying to explain back spacing, but you just finally made me realize how it works.

Now how does offset work??

I think I'm gonna start searching for these wheels and buy them

The offset is just how far off center the mounting flange is.

Backspacing is the measurement in inches of of the mounting face from the back edge of the wheel(the side of wheel towards engine)

Offset is the measurement in mm of the mounting face from the centerline of the wheel. So a 0mm offset means the mounting face is dead center in the wheel. A positive offset means the mounting face is on the street side of the centerline. So the wheel is tucked up under the fender well more. A negative offset means the mounting face is engine side of the wheel an the wheel will stick out of the fender well.

48 mm is almost 2 inches so he would have 3 inches of backspacing with 7 inches sticking out.
