Hey guys. Got an axle question here. I'm trying to tighten up the wheel bearings on my 88 and I wanna know the specific torque to tighten them to. so I go in my Haynes manual and find "early model bronco and f150 with Dana 44-IFS/44-IFS-HD front axle instructions". Then of course I find the later model Dana 44-IFS instructions. I got my axle out of an 87 bronco, BUT the axle had a locker put in it at some point so he might have a different set up. I'm looking though the instructions on the specific tightening sequences on the early Dana 44 and they just don't make any sense for what I've got on my truck. I look at the later model Dana 44 and that makes more sense on the break down and tightening sequences of removing the two rings and stuff like I've got on mine. The early model Dana 44 instructions tell me to take some outter lock nut off but there is no outer lock nut. Just the bearing nut assembly. Here's some pictures of what I got. Maybe y'all can help me figure out which axle I've got so I can torque it properly. Thanks.

That looks like 1989 and up, the nut is self locking, those are definatly not 1987 hubs they used a funky small hub, like a ranger.Either way it would be a later 44.
