i bought a 89 4speed 5lt f150 and it gets about 100km or 60miles per hour at about 4500rpm so i figure i must have 410s or 430s...what u think?

that's pretty damn high. i don't think 4.30 ever came in the rear's of 1/2 ton's. you're not in 2nd gear are you? even with 4.10's that seems too high. my o5 had 4.10's and 30.5" tires and ran about 3500 in 3rd gear with would be close to your 4th. i'm assuming it's a 4 speed standard??? if not that's way too much rpm...

what does weight have to do with rpm...pretty sure it's dependant on tranny gears, diff gears and tire size. and mph. a light weight car revs higher than a full size truck at the same speed..

I'm thinking you are not getting into overdrive. I would count how many times your trans shifts. With your tire size I would guess you had a 5.56 ratio. That's why I think overdrive is gone.
