any one want to buy a truck? lol. finally striped it down enough over the years that there are no more useable parts off of it, so time for the scrap yard.

Installed a brand new Richporter distributor today. I am happy to say that the annoying squeal I have been chasing since I got the truck in April is now gone. When I pulled old one out I turned the shaft manually and there was a point where it almost seized up completely and then there was a really loud nails on chalkboard squeal. The truck run so much smoother and quieter. Its been a good an productive weekend for the truck.

I did the same, but purchased one from Summit, their own brand. Easy install, and a nice unit unit that I would recommend in case someone is looking for an alternative to dropping in a rebuilt.

Also did just a couple of other things

- Replaced Front brakes/repack bearings
- Replaced Steering gear box
- Replaced Clockspring cable to fix the horn/flashing airbag issues
- Installed New battery cables
- Swapped fixed rear window with slider scored from junkyard for $25
- New EGR/PCV valves
- Power door lock actuator
- Serpentine belt
- Cleaned MAF/IAC/Throttle body

I picked the truck up with 271K miles, so it needed bit of work, but it's rust free and runs and rides great, now!

Looked at it. In the driveway. Axles and wheels in the bed. Set up on jack stands. JY carrier needs a new bearing. Need to set preload and rebuild the thing tomorrow including setting backlash. Need special tools that I don't have. Don't want to spend more $$
