thats actually amazing news, i seen a smitty but didn't know about its reliability, thanks that opens up the market a little bit. even better 400-600 is my budget for a winch lol, im not dropping 1k+ in one with how much ill be using it.

I think when the time comes, I'm going to get the 8k with synthetic line. Should probably buy the bumper first though lol

after I sprayed down the center support assembly with liquid wrench, yesterday, I attempted to break the bolts loose and replace it, but ended up cracking my one and only 14mm.... lol. I'm not sure who it was by, but it was a cheap set and I'm pretty sure it was the first time using the 14mm. So, in the morning I'll be shopping for a new set.

I'll also be looking for a new set of bolts and nuts for the support assembly; definitely do not want to use the same set that are coming out! Also, there is a little clip between the nuts and the assembly, should I replace those, or leave them out?

yea i need to get a cable on the thing, i made like $30 today getting scrap (in like 2h) whats the benefit of synthetic rope?

Synthetic line weighs less, won't snap back and cut you in half if it breaks, is stronger, doesn't rust, doesn't have loose strands of steel wire to puncture your hands, and it looks good.
