No retrofitting required! Original 3G - 130amp alternator from a 91 Town Car. I had to trim the charging wire isolator, but that was it. The stock alternator on the 94-96 is a 3G 95amp, so the wiring was factory correct.

Washed both trucks and did the throttle cable mod on my 95 4.9. The throttle body was not opening up all the way and now it is! Revs out much faster at WOT. Not going to help my MPG's at all! Lol. Thinking about doing this mod on the 94 5.0, but it's way bad enough on gas as it sits.

Get under the dash and find the throttle cable attached to the gas pedal. Lift the pedal up and expose the excess cable. Stick a shoe or something under the pedal to keep the xcess cable exposed. Not grab some zip ties or small crimp on terminals. I used zip ties, but I'm going to redo this mod using the crimp on terminals. Cut the rings or blade connection off of the terminals leaving just the crimp section. Open the terminals up and slide them over the excess cable and crimp them down. You may have to use one or two depending on the terminal size and amount of excess cable. Your goal is to get the pedal to a point with no excess play. Before you crank the truck up, test and retest to make sure that the cable does not bind up or the throttle get hung up. Test it to full wide open throttle before cranking. I take no responsibility for a stuck throttle or cut cable. Plenty of references on the web.
