Well, that may be the case, but I'm too set in my ways to read how he treats people. I just think, and this is strictly my opinion, that he could be a lot less of a jerk when "helping" people. I had stayed away from commenting on any forums because of people like him. I'm sure he's helped a lot of people, but I don't choose to read his comments or get any help from the likes of him. Life is too short to be treated like dirt by a guy like that. There are a lot of ways to go about what he does. I'm through with him, he's now in my ignore list.

Yes, and for those people who need questions answered, it's worth mentioning their vehicle model in their sigs. But for all those with F150s, it's assumed on any forum with "F150" in the name (& URL). But it's your signature, and you can put anything you like into it. I've only been offering you suggestions - not commands.

But I don't get what bothers you about that comment - I didn't beat you up about the MAP; I just mentioned it.

Maybe, but I don't see how it could, especially if you say you don't have the experience to understand what the fuel trims are for. But again: I'm not trying to stop you from doing what you want - just offering suggestions & opinions that seem like they'll help you keep the truck running for the least money & effort.

No problem. I do thank you for you willingness to share your knowledge. And as to your style, I'm no snowflake and know from looking in the mirror people with your first name can tend to be a bit opinionated. LOL

Got some new taillight assemblies from TYC. I reworked the old ones awhile ago but the clearcoat I put on them started to peel off so I just replace them! I bought some front corner light housings from TYC too and their quality, fit, and finish are really top notch!

Thumbs up Pressure Relief Valve on A/C

Last week I was sitting in the truck just about getting ready to drive off when I heard a very loud hissing from under the hood. I thought it was air brakes letting off some air. But then decided to look under the hood and it was dark outside and did not see anything on the ground or up on the engine. So, on the way home I could not defrost or get cool air. So, I figured it was the A/C crapping out. Took it into the shop and the Pressure Relief Valve on the hose to the compressor was open. Actually it was completely wide open. The PRV has been in there for 24 years so I figured that was the issue. They plugged it and recharged the system and know I got cold air again. I replaced the Compressor and drier 3.5 years ago, but left the old hoses in, so the PRV was left as well. The tech told me he could not find a new valve, but said he could order a new hose with the valve and I said just plug it. Just an old valve finally crapping out. "Old school tech" stuff I guess. But, right back to frigid air again.

Then I rotated the tires and cleaned the rear drums. Then I was driving along and heard a scraping in the left front. Come to find out when I put the front tire on, I bumped one of the clips that holds the brake pad together and it was scraping the inside of the wheel. Whew! That was close call, though I did something more stupid.

The pressure relief valve is a safety feature, and required by law. Read the 2nd TSB in this caption:

Just got back from another CL run to get a new tailgate for the truck! It'll take a bit of work to get it ready, but it's doesn't have the dents like my current one does. And a big bonus is that it was close to 200 miles round trip, and I filled up when I got back and here's the numbers - 215.5 miles / 10.110 gallons = 21.32 mpg!!! That's the best ever!

Flush and refill cooling system, replaced both radiator hoses, and replaced door switches on passenger door. As soon as I get clips for Driver doo latch I will tackle the latch assembly on driver door, being able to looks doors would be a plus.
