I did that back when I got the 32's that are currently on the truck and verified it via a few different gps apps

Again, the loss of mpg (as I said, to be determined, it may not happen) will most likely be because of the rpm increase at high speeds. I used to be kicking at around 2000 rpms at 65mph, now it is closer to 2300. 70mph used to be about 2200, now it is about 2500.

Basically, I need a 6th gear LOL

Not sure if anything was done to my 96 before I got it, but when you go through those MPH billboards the cops set up, it is spot on. That with 31" tires on the 10 hole wheels.

You either got recalibrated, or you have one of the F150s that got 265/75/15 from the factory.

Those radar signs are horribly INaccurate. I'd say it's just their random error that made them show what your truck's speedo shows. In any case, it's easy & free to check your PSOM's calibration constant, withOUT using the jumper wire.

Had it only happened once, I'd agree that they might happen to be off the same amount as my speedometer, but they use those a lot around here, and it has been consistent. Once I get around to mounting a tablet where I can see it, I'll have a GPS speedometer, + pretty much any gauge obd 2 can supply with data. I've played around with the Torque app and and a BAFX bluetooth adapter, and it shows promise, the hard part is finding enough real estate to mount a screen. As to free and easy to check the PSOM, care to elaborate.

Filled it up with gas ($62.00) and cleaned the lens of the back up camera. That's all.

Do you have a smartphone that has GPS capabilities? I purchased one of these from amazon and placed the base on the black dash bezel to the right of the steering wheel - it works wonders and, combined with a bluetooth capable DIN receiver, brings you into the 21st century.

There are many free phone apps. I can't remember the name of the one I use (and my phone is downstairs), but it has a black background with bright green LCD-looking numbers.

New battery today. Interstate Megatron Plus 65. Firestone complete auto care has them for $119.99 with coupon.

Also have new custom 1/0 battery cables arriving Monday, and a new 130A alternator and starter solenoid some time this week. Getting her ready for better lights and stereo this summer.
