What did you do to your truck today?

I did the 90° oil filter adapter install on my '96 4.9, very happy with the result. I'm retired, so none of mine are actual daily drivers. When it sat for a week or sometimes a few days oil filter brand aside, it would sometimes have drained back and would rattle its little heart out for the first few seconds after start. I took a few photos, I also while under there made a home brew exhaust heat shield for the starter. I haven't tried it yet, hopefully that will quell the hot start slow cranking and not just make a bunch of harmonic noises.
The part number Ford Racing M-6880-A50
Not much in the box, 2 parts, 2 o-rings.
The filter gasket stuck to the old adapter, no big deal but always something to check. The pic is upside down, but you get the idea

It took 2 qts to top off, I didn't lose that much so I assume it holds more now, that's a good thing in my book.

I only use Motorcraft and Wix, maybe Napa Gold, and I'm beginning to question Wix. As stated; mine sit too much, and this way, it will not, cannot drain back unless it is on the roof, and that would be the least of my worries under those conditions. Now it jumps to normal pressure as soon as it starts.
Took the front drive shaft out and shift linkage for my bw1356 and had my tires ballanced each tire took over 100g of weight to ballance my dad works in a dealership and I've been having problems with driveline vibration why I took the front shaft off and the shift linkage had him ballance the tires as part of a check list massively unbalanced but no joy I ordered the bushing that's in the tailshaft of my bw1356 hopefully this will help others have told me ware on this bushing will cause slop in slip yoke and vibration I have 0 play in my slip yoke I recently dropped my oem shaft on the freeway and I had to have one made sense I couldn't find one so I highly doubt the problem is the drive shaft put I am going to check my u joint ancles with a Clinometer in the morning and I'll keep y'all posted on what I find I have a 91 f150 351w 4x4
Just call me sean. Really
Snapped another door handle. Turns out the last one I bought is a lifetime warranty part, so free replacement for me!
Also bought a set of hinge pins for each door, tired of sagging doors and I don't want to keep breaking handles and looking like a schmuck rolling the window down to let myself out of the truck!

I had to fix my passenger side window motor today. The plastic "bearings" inside weren't completely gone but they were smashed just enough to let the hear spin and not roll the window up. $12 later and she's good as new.
