Yes but If I continue the circle it wont make noise lol. Something is shifting around as the truck turns, not a lane change but say if I make a right hand turn onto another street. If I swing left and stop, back up and turn my wheels to the right to back up it clunks.

And its coming from under the floor/seat, so something is shifting as the frame flexes when turning. Sometimes it will do it, other times it won't and I've been unsuccessful at finding what is doing it when everything seems tight and where it should be.

Ah I see now. Kinda what I'm dealing with too. Random noise that comes under certain conditions but not every time.

Pasted a muffler patch on my rusty, broken EGR tube. Of course I removed all the rust first. Fun stuff.

Just curious, was/is you EGR tube one solid pipe or was it like a couple pieces butted together? Just been wondering and I got that heat wrap sock thing around mine so I can't see the actual tube.

Changed coil, cap and rotor, wires, and spark plugs. Runs like a brand new truck and now I know why. The previous owner didn't do a lick of maintenance.

I think I read that you checked the rubber bushings on the radius arm but did you check the actual mount? The ontario winters ate away at one of mine and oblonged the hole allowing the arm to flop around and make a thumping noise right under the seat. I hadn't noticed it until I had the front axle out as the rubber bushings hid it.

And those weren't even the worst. Amazing what these old trucks can handle.

You can say that again.

Brought the truck with a stuck closed valve and bent push rod. Drove it home and drove it for another week until I decided what to do with the engine. Which was pull the head and fix it or do a complete rebuild.

Yea, I drove mine for a week with an intake valve pushrod popped out until I decided to see what the problem was.
