Changed my clockspring, but my steering wheel didn't have holes for the puller to thread into. It worked with a gear puller for some reason.

I went through three steering wheel pullers on my Chevy and tried a gear puller with no luck. My mechanic buddy dropped by a hit the steering wheel at three points and it popped right off. Took him 30 seconds and no tools and I'd been working on it for two days. I've since tried the three point technique at the salvage yard and it's worked every time.

Hit it at the three points designated by stars and it may work.
