Yep. Totally worth it though

Too bad these 35s look smaller everyday
This is a picture of when I got the truck from the tire shop and where she is today.

Working on my new tag for it. One for the car one for the truck. Antique tags are blue with white lettering so it will look like that.

I have a few blues:

This one seems to match best:

I'll give it two days to dry then do the letters:

Interesting making your own plates. all i did today was use some of that turtle wax trim restoration stuff on my trucks fender flairs and other plastic and rubber bits.

The stuff that's supposed to bring it back to black and stay that way for a long time?

The entire lower portion of my 02 Exploder has black plastic that is faded grey, along with both bumpers. I used the Turtle Wax stuff last year. It took a while to do and it lasted maybe a week. I'd love to find something that works well.

I hate to say it but the turtle wax is the best I have found other then using light viscosity motor oil lol that last a bit longer about a month or so. However! Your supposed to keep applying the turtle wax stuff until it stays, seems to stay well on some plastics like my fender flairs I'm guessing its different plastics.

I posted what I posted hoping that a shade tree mechanic like myself might learn something from my trials, errors, stumbles and falls. If I shouldn't have posted there, I am sorry. I'm obviously a green horn among veterans. Won't happen again. candyspaw
