Had to bypass my heater core. I was on my way out of town and stopped at the gas station in my 94 and a guy walked up and pointed to the passenger side of the truck and anti freeze was everywhere. Took off one heater hose and ran the other in a loop. Refilled the radiator and took off. Guess I'll be pulling the heater core tomorrow and replacing it!

Finally got all my parts together for the front axle, so tomorrows job is to swap it in then I'll finally have my 4x4 truck. Also got dual e-fans a few days ago from a Chrysler intrepid so that will be installed in the next week or so.

Did not quite get it in. The new gears won't allow for a c clip. I am thinking, get an old used CV axle snap and be done with it. But I am in the re-assembly stage now. I kind of have the axle shaft in a bind may have to take the other side off, put this one together, then put the other side together. We'll see Monday evening.

HOLY CRAP I LOVE MY F150's! A nut driver, t20 torx bit, 5/16 nut driver, 5/16 box end wrench and a pair of needle nose pliers and 15 minutes later I had my busted heater core out of the truck! It took me about 5 minutes to put the cover back on and replace the vacuum lines, control cable and replug the other cables and put the glove box back in until I get the new heater core bought. When that sucker blew out, I immediately thought about my old S10 Blazer and the 12 hours it took to get the heater core out. I could not believe just how simple this went. Soon as pay day gets here I'll be buying a new heater core and reinstalling it. This also gave me a chance to clean out the glove box. Found $3 in cash and another $2 in change, 2 screw drivers that I'd been missing and a knife that I lost 6 months ago. Hell yeah baby!
