I have swapped both the motor and the bracket. Yes there's another hole on the passenger side. Best pic I could get:

That's a 94-96 bracket. You'll have to buy a 4.9 specific 3g 130/135a. The give away is the spacers pressed into the bottom two holes. Our brackets are taller at the very top hole and narrower at the bottom hole as compared to the taurus and other sedan alt's. If you had a pre 94 bracket, you could probably do the standard 3g swap. My bracket does have the hood like yours. i just went and looked again. Wish I had a clue as to where my tape measure walked off to and I'd get the measurement of the outer holes top to bottom.

This bracket if I remember correctly is from the '92 van that the motor came from. I do know the power steering/compressor bracket is different on the vans because of the Saginaw pump, which I have. Maybe more options for your search. I wonder if I still have my '87 alternator bracket, I'd like to compare. But I think I threw it away because I had to cut the smog pump off it.

You can clock the alternator for better plug clearance too. I did it on mine for better plug location.

I'll be going back on Monday to try and locate a van with the 3g 130/135. Gotta put this one to bed for tonight. Gotta get up at 4am to start a 72 hours shift. Be home on Monday and back on this project at the salvage yard.

I've used several van parts on mine. The vans got different upgraded stuff.
