What the blank ?
Hello.. I just purchased an 1995 f150 5.0 mark III and i have a few Things I need help with and thought this forum would help... so here goes.... First i found these thing in the glove box (photo1).... I think they are the oem alarm... Where does it connect ... i cant seem to find a matching connecter... I trust that i belongs to the truck. Second question... Do both fuel tanks have there own pump or is there only one... when i switch to rear tank the truck die as if it were out of fuel... Third question there is a toggle switch under the passenger dash(photo2)... whats it for... is it the fuel pump kill switch? Thanks in advance to
The dual tank systems have a fuel pump in each tank, and one outside on the frame rails.
As for the alarm box, the previous owner could have gotten that from a junk yard and never installed it because it didn't have a wire harness.
The toggle switch could be for anything. It is kind of weird it is on the passenger side. Could be a fuel cut off switch. Definitely installed by a previous owner and not factory.

Just replaced the front fuel pump on my 94 with a 5.0. The alarm is definitely not factory and the switch could be a valet mode switch for the alarm, but anyway a fuel pump will run ya about 140 plus tax and be ready to either remove the bed or drop the tank.
FIRST YOUR TRUCK HAS 2 PUMPS AND 2 PUMPS ONLY AND THEY ARE IN THE TANKS. NOT ON THE FRAME RAILS!!!!!
IN 1992 FORD SWITCHED TO TWO HIGH FLOW PUMPS IN THE TANKS BEFORE THAT THEIR WERE TWO LOW FLOW IN THE TANKS AND ONE HIGH FLOW ON THE FRAME RAIL.
it could be a "factory" alarm, as the mark3 trucks were not done at the factory but they were sold new at the dealers. they are a conversion truck. ford builds the basic truck then they send them off to a company who does the conversion to them. just like conversion vans.
as far as the toggle switch, you'll just have to chase the wires off of it to see where they go. from the look of the pic the switch is on the kick pannel, the factory inertia switch could have took a dump and they put the switch in.

your taking stabs at me???
i'm not even sure why.
best i can figure is my sig at the bottom when i post. it is not directed towards anyone inperticular, it is a refrance to the guys that buy 4x4's spend an ungodly amount to them then drive them around never taking them off the pavement.
other than that i never attacked why you do something to your rig.
i thought the information i gave you on your questions was pretty accurate.
