well today my friend and i worked on his grandpas 89 f150 5.0l 2wd and so we went to replace the water pump and snapped 4 of the bolts so we went to dealership to see if they can get new ones but they are discontinued, so we go to napa and they can get them. they cant even tell us the thread size or lenght of bolt. does any1 know where we might be able to get them. or we just go to a junk yard and get them?

I'm pretty sure there 5/16 -24 but I do not know the lengths.

You can match the sizes, Doninick is correct, they are 5\16-24, any hardware or Lowes\Depot should carry the, I actually found stainless bolts for around the same price as reg bolts and put them in. I think there are 3 sizes, 3-1\2, 2-1\2, and 1-1\2 depending where they go, through the cover or directly to the cover.

Most parts stores carry the "HELP' line of products. Part # 23744 has three of the hard to get ones. I got the rest at Ace Hardware. Perfect match right down to the flanged heads.

X2 on Dominick's call for Lowes. I got some bracket bolts that are stainless and were pretty reasonably priced.
