Unhappy Water leaking all over

Hi all. I am stumped by what my truck is doing. I have an 87 F150 XLT with a 305. I bought this truck for $400. So far all we have had to do to it is fix the gas tank. Now we have a problem with it running ho tall the time. We have flushed the radiator with gunk and drano. We have replaced the bottom radiator hose. We do have to replace the exhaust manifold gasket. I drove it yesterday and they were putting a thermostat in it. When they got it all put back togeather they put water in it and water started spraying all over. Someone told us to check the freeze plug and water pump. We have checked the water pump and it seems to be working. The top of the moter is dry as for the bottom is all wet. There is no cracked head or crack in the moter.
QAnyone have any suggestions?

Do you have an idea where the coolant is coming from? It could be freeze plugs but you will have to crawl underneath to see. Does it leak when its running or not?

I know that was trying to find a standard block but couldn't find any clear images
