Vent window glass latch replacement
I ordered some new vent window glass latches and cannot for the life of my figure out how to get the suckers off. Here is the new one.
Do you have to drive the little pin completely out? Or is there some type of spring in there that has to be depressed? Help.

just drive the little pin out, know that it may have been in there for years. Steady the frame/glass so the banging does not transfer to those pieces. I have even taped cardboard and plywood, just in case I miss the drift.
IIRC, you only have to drive it 2/3 out and then the **** pulls off.

Ok, I figured that the new part would unlock the key to replacement. Gonna give it a go now. Thank you.

Do yourself a favor and source oem parts for both - a little more expensive but I tried the dorman route and it is crap. I got both door handles and both latches for about $45 on ebay from different sellers. Check out a user named quirkparts - he sells lots of Ford NOS OEM stuff.

Oh and after figuring out the whole "drive out the pin thing" it took 5 min per side to replace.

Yes I've learned the oem thing the hard way lol. I broke my factor door handles and had to fix the joke of a mounting structure behind it (this is not an if but when for these trucks it seems, so easy on those handles) and replaced them with cheap 80-86 metal door handles. Well they were made of pot metal and broke with nothing wrong on the door. Bought better ones and boom no problem now for two years. I have countless examples of stuff like this on my truck, and other's where if you plan to keep it a while, don't cheap out.

Check out u-techcenter on e-Bay, they have these for right around $6 shipped, and they are OEM Ford. It's actually U-Haul, and I guess they had tons of older Ford Parts for all their Ford Trucks.. I've bought a few things from them for my Truck...
