ok , thank you
I thought it had some thing to do with air flow , or with the BIG 4.9l to help keep the front end down under hard acceleration

There's a possibility it could mess with the airflow over the radiator. For instance, there's a small deflector that hangs down only about an inch and a half from the core support of 99-04 mustangs. If you take that small deflector off the engine runs hotter and can possibly overheat.

If all the different style bumpers on a 95 have the deflector then it might not be just a looks type of thing.

it works two fold.... to help direct air to the radiator it also as it directs air up to the rad creates downforce pushing the front down and helps keep air from going under the truck thus lifting the front end...

It is very minimal. but works more at higher speeds... but as anyone knows get one of these trucks up close to 3 digits and it gets squirly any ways... I took mine off and I dropped 1mpg
