If you don't see a hose laying around that fell off, I'd just put a plug on it. Then if everything works OK, done deal.

It connects to the EGR valve which I see you no longer have...

Nope...it connects to the EGR. Short of going outside and taking a picture, I found this vid...check it out at 4:14. The guy pulls it loose from the throttle body and bends it back toward the EGR valve.

i went out and looked at my truck right after i posted that, it goes back to the gas tank, i had to replace the hose about 8 months ago and i had to trace it back to find out what it was for to figure out what hose i needed. found out it goes back to the vacuum lines and is directed down into a line that leads back to the front fuel tank along the frame rail.

also, if you look at the video closely, it appears the hose is going down towards the frame rail, and is not connected to the EGR, mine dose not go that direction, it goes over the top to the firewall then goes down.

The hose with a spot of red paint on it goes to the valve/solenoid (not sure what it is) with the electrical connector (white tie-wrap). This wiring is loomed together with more wiring that connects to the EGR valve (A63 label). Now, from the T-fitting at the valve/solenoid, the hose goes forward, connects to a black rigid tubing that is connected to a black plastic canister. I admit though, I have no idea what this canister is or whether it eventually goes to the fuel tank but in any case, I think you should be able to plug the port in the throttle body.

man ford confuses the hell out of me sometimes, this is what mine looks like and what it is. posts 4-10
http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/10...b-project.html

i guess its OBDII thing or something...

i asked the ford parts counter guy if i should block it, and he said you COULD but he wouldn't recommend it since its for vapor to escape, but its a ford parts counter person i was talking to so who the heck knows.
