URGENT! Please Help!
I have a 1996 Ford F150 8 Cylinder, with 2 gas tanks.
So, today, I was driving around 55 MPH and my truck seemed like it was about to stall. When pressing on the accelerator (fully down), the truck kept going, but max speed was only around 30 to 35 or so... I was able to pull over (thankfully) and I turned the truck off, and back on again, and then it worked fine (went 55 mph again) for about another 10 to 20 miles, where I had to pull over and do it again... This happened about 3 or 4 times, and then I finally got home.
What could this be? I'm hoping and praying that it isn't anything expensive! I hope it's something I can fix!
Please comment if I need to post pictures of anything to help with solving the problem. I popped the hood on one of the times I pulled over and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. It did have a slight "burning" smell, though.
Thank you in advance for everyone's help!

It's a Canadian thing eh!
Check engine light on? If it is I would recommend having the codes pulled so you have a starting point. Have fuel pressure checked as well
Edit: Well damn, beat to it.

As a quick test loosen the gas cap and drive it it will probably throw a code but it will clear itself when you reinstal the cap if this solves the problem then you have pluged vent . next step fuel filter and check pressure AND flow it sounds like fuel starvation next step fuel pump

Does your truck do this on both tanks?
You can pull the codes with a paper clip or jumper wire. Several sites have the procedures and codes. Do not replace any part with out testing it first.
I would replace the fuel filter anyway since its inexpensive and check the fuel pressure.
