Underdrive...

I would have to agree with hiredman77. I have not added the underdrive pulleys to my truck but did in my 89 5.0 mustang. They added a good bit of power for the money. Mine was a three pulley system and helped more than it hurt. I will have to put out there that I don't have an a/c in the car though so I have no experience with the pulleys effect on that.

I completely recommend them. I put them on my 90 5.0 and I could feel a difference. Also I dont have any extra electricals other than offroad lights (theyre off most the time) and my ac doesnt work so ya. I havent noticed much of a bad effect. I say def worth it

Slighly less rev's + slightly more accessory load = Higher amps/ heat. 2 G's are known for melting their Alt. harness (& catching fire) as it is!
Geat performance..........till it caught fire!

You should accurately figure your Max load w/ every light, bell & whistle blaring. Get an alternator 20-25% more output than that. If planning to get Floods or a wench in the future or a dual battery set up, plan ahead.

Do not
Do you like your A/C down there in Alabama... well underdriving the A/C compressor sure will help NOT...
Undrive pulleys are for race cars not cars and trucks you plan to drive on the street... they just make the accessories work less... so your booming audio system will kill the battery real fast because the alternator just cant keep up.

If/when I do this I would buy good high quality UDs. I already installed everything I ordered so far so it will be a little while before I order more. Will be something I look into though. Thank you for your opinions.
